Shaw 4062 for fiberglass sheet goods – Seam Sealer
Shaw 4062 Premium Seam Sealer is a solvent-free sealer designed for seaming fiberglass sheet goods in direct glue down installations.
DIRECTIONS:
- Prepare flooring and seam according to flooring manufacturer’s instructions.
- Apply a bead of 4062 Seam Sealer to the foamed edges of the fiberglass sheets to be seamed.
- Join the sheet edges by butting them together while the seam sealer is still wet.
- Wipe off any excess seam sealer with a clean damp cloth.
- Dried sealer can be removed with Shaw adhesive remover. Avoid soaking the flooring with solvent. Do not pour solvent directly onto flooring.
- Protect the seam area for a minimum of 6 hours to allow the seam sealer to dry. The adhesive, floor covering, and area to receive resilient flooring must be maintained at a temperature of 65°-95°F (18°-35°C) and at a relative humidity of 30-60% for 72 hours before, during, and after installation.
