7 Year Shaw WaterPrep Shower Wall Covering Residential Limited Warranty

Shaw Industries, Inc. (“the Company”) warrants our shower wall panels under this Residential Limited Warranty when used in normal indoor residential shower applications.

The warranty belongs to you, the original end-use purchaser, and begins when you purchase the shower wall covering and extends for the limited warranty period stated above. The basis of any warranty related claim is the original “Company” invoice or authorized “Company” dealer. 

The shower wall covering must be installed in accordance with the Company’s installation guidelines and specifications. The shower wall covering must be maintained in accordance with the Company’s maintenance recommendations and such maintenance continues throughout the duration of the original installation. Damage resulting from a failure to follow installation and cleaning / maintenance guidelines will not be covered under this warranty.

WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS

  • Manufacturing Defects – The Company warrants that a properly installed and maintained shower system will keep its original shape in size, durability,flatness, stiffness, and water resistance for a period of at least 7 years. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase. The warranty is not transferable and applies only to the first purchaser.

WHAT CONDITIONS APPLY

Any real complaint should be made in writing giving full details of the complaint. The complaint should also include evidence of the claim, e.g., through samples, photos, etc.

The Company reserves the right to check and inspect the relevant products upon receipt of the complaint to check if it is justified, both as regards the basis of the complaint and as to the amount being claimed. The claim must be filed within 60 days after the failure in question has become visible.

warranty limitations:

  • This product must be installed in accordance with our installation instructions.  An improperly installed product will not perform in the way it was designed and may result in damage to the wallcovering and/or the subwall.
  • ​A product that already displays failures before installing and that is installed nonetheless, will be excluded from our warranty. Complaints about inherent defects that were visible before installing will not be accepted after installation.
  • The warranty only applies to goods supplied in the original packaging. Clearance goods are explicitly excluded from the warranty.
  • The warranty for water-resistance does not apply to foiled hollow panels and foiled trims.
  • There is no guarantee with regard to color differences in different production runs or batches.
  • Shipping damage or damage from improper handling of goods is expressly excluded from warranty.
  • There is no warranty regarding impact strength, resistance to wear, scratch resistance, stain resistance, performance under extreme temperatures, humidity or variable air composition, or resistance to water penetration, since these are associated with use.

WHAT IF YOU NEED WARRANTY SERVICES

You, the original purchaser, will contact your authorized dealer or Company sales representative for claim service.  Please provide a valid proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue, along with photographs showing the concern. Samples should be submitted for review/testing when available. The dealer or Company sales representative will file a claim via www.ShawNow.com and submit the information you provided. WHAT WE WILL DO

If we find a defect covered under this warranty, the Company may, at its sole option, repair or replace the affected product or refund the purchase price for the affected material. The Company will pay the reasonable costs for product, freight and labor. Any costs incurred for moving equipment, furnishings, partitions and the like that were installed over the Company’s product will be at the customer’s expense. The Company will not pay labor charges for appearance-related manufacturing defects.
 

NOTE: The warranty is not transferable. It extends only to the original end use purchaser. Shaw Industries Inc. does not grant to any person or entity the authority to create for it any obligation or liability in connection with this product. Shaw Industries Inc. shall not be liable to the consumer or any other person or entity for any incidental, special or consequential damages, arising out of breach of this limited warranty or any implied limited warranty (excluding merchantability).
 
All implied warranties, including an implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby limited to the duration of this limited warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or the limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to the purchaser. This warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights, such rights may vary from State to State.
